SuperCard's Standard Edition's Runtime Editor environment provides the tools necessary to build your project's interface as simply as drawing it out on the screen. The Tools palette contains everything you need to create buttons, controls, indicators, text fields, lists, and graphics. Double clicking any of these objects brings up an information window where you can easily set their styles and properties, and import images. And the MenuMaster window provides a single point and click interface for creating menus and menu items.

Once the layout is complete, you can start scripting the behavior of the various elements using the built in script editor. At the top of the script editing window you'll find popup menus to insert syntax templates for practically every word in SuperTalk; organized by command, function, property, and message. And the integrated Help System can automatically lookup the full documentation of any word with just a single keystroke. If you run into trouble, the built in Script Tracer offers a powerful debugger to help you step through your code.

Once complete, the included Standalone Maker utility will sew up your project into a distributable standalone application, complete with custom icons, version and copyright info, and even document associations should you require them.

And while the Standard Edition is aimed at the casual user, it is capable of creating projects and applications with identical functionality as the Developer Edition, however it does not include tools for extensibility, script encryption, nor the SuperEdit editing environment that makes it so easy to make sweeping changes in your projects, and to leverage your creation to other projects.
